Friends

 Does anyone know a good place to get Japanese subtitle files for Japanese films etc? The DVDs I own with Japanese audio only seem to have English or Chinese subtitles. (I find old Japanese men really hard to understand without subs but don't want to use English ones!)

Hi everyone!

I'm revising for a Japanese exam I've got in the next couple of weeks (second year of university), and I was wondering if anyone could help me with a grammar point.

I've just been revising ~に対して　and ～に対する。

The next point on my list is ～がAのに対して。　Unfortunately though I can't find my notes on this specific point, and I searched a bit online and couldn't find anything about it... if anyone could explain it for me, like how it is used in sentences and what it means, how it differs from に対する, etc, I would be really grateful. :D

Hey everybody!!

I've been studying Japanese for around 5 years now, but had to stop taking formal classes a couple of years ago and was doing self-study from then on. I was in Japan twice for study abroad experiences (a year and a half total), so my Japanese at one point was really good. But now that I've graduated college and I have a full-time job, its hard to me to have the concentration (let alone the energy..) to do self-study.

So I wanted to ask everyone for their tips in studying if you're doing it alone. I've got textbooks... I've watched drama's for listening... do mixi for writing... but no matter what I do, my Japanese is still just getting worse and worse.

Does anyone have any tips to help stay on track, or know of any online study materials that make studying easier???

Heya everyone, I'm new to this community but I just have a quick question about Thursday evening's Bones Tweetpeat event which hopefully someone can answer for me. Originally I had no idea what a Tweetpeat even was but when they say that various cast members get involved with twittering during the show - does it all happen on Twitter or are the comments broadcast on the screen along with the show? I'm not even in the US but for some reason I am stupidly excited by this whole thing... so please explain the format to me!
And who here intends to be getting involved? :)
